Michigan Tech has a long history of Division I college hockey, dating back to the early 1900's.

They have won 3 National Championships in Div.1 USA College hockey,on their resume, and  competes in the Western Colligate Hockey Association (WCHA).

They would be looking for a head coach that has a  historical winning record,or won a hockey  or national hockey championship on their resume, as the winning head coach. MTU is located in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula, in Houghton,MI, the home of USA Professional Hockey. The campus is situated on the beautiful keweenaw waterway, and Portage Lake which connects the keweenaw peninsula with Lake Superior.
